Fit & Fresh featured on Glee
The Fenton Group promotes product on hotest show

Providence, RI- MEDport’s Fit & Fresh™ brand products are regular guest stars on Fox’s hit show Glee. The innovative food and drink containers that allow for healthy eating on the go are in a variety of scenes in Glee’s freshman season.

“It is really exciting to have Fit & Fresh™ featured on Glee,” says Larry Wesson, CEO of MEDport, LLC. “Fit & Fresh™ products have a number of great assets like removable ice packs and attached utensils and are sized for automatic portion control. For a small New England company, it’s great to be featured on a hit show – virtually every episode.”

During the pilot episode of Glee, which had 4.1 million viewers, militant gym teacher and cheer-leading coach Sue Sylvester (played by actress and Golden Globe nominee Jane Lynch) mixes up a protein shake in a Fit & Fresh™ Power Mixer while going head-to-head with the show’s main star, glee club faculty adviser Will Schuester (played by actor Matthew Morrison).

Glee is one of the standout shows in this year’s TV season. It is unique due to its cheeky demeanor, soap-operatic plot twists and most importantly its musical numbers. CD and digital music sales are also skyrocketing. MediaWeek awarded Glee an “A” on its Freshman Series Report Card and Time Magazine called it “the freshest and most joyful new show of the year.”

The show, premiered its second half of the first season on April 13th, recently won Best Television Series at the 2010 Golden Globes and Best Comedy Series Ensemble at the 2010 SAG Awards. Fit & Fresh™ will continue to appear on Glee for the remainder of the season.
