The Fenton Group designs cause-marketing program for Newport Coffee Traders -- June, 2003
Providence, RI – Newport Coffee Traders, the premium brand of 4th generation family-owned Autocrat Coffee, has developed a major sponsorship with the RI Children's Crusade for High Education. The innovative sponsorship will provide 1% of all Newport Coffee Traders sales to support the Children's Crusade.
"The RI Children's Crusade is a national model working to help children realize the dream of college," Ms. Wall said. "The Crusade helps to focus children on the importance of gaining a college education. As a mother, I know the importance of a quality education. NCT appreciates the great work that the Children's Crusade does to children starting in the 3rd grade on their way to success." In addition to the donation, Newport Coffee Traders will promote the Crusade on its packaging, through paid media and with its marketing materials.
Mary Harrison, President of RI Children's Crusade, said, "We are extremely grateful to Cindy, and Newport Coffee Traders, for this generous financial commitment. Corporate support from NCT, which was founded and is still run by a Rhode Island family, is a vote of confidence in our mission to help some of Rhode Island's most needy children. The Fenton Group worked to develop this program for NCT. Coverage of the recent announcement appeared in news coverage in the Providence Journal, radio and television outlets, and was featured in a FSI in Sunday's Providence Journal.
